Fitwoman Pilates retreats- a day to enjoy, recharge and relax
As a Personal Trainer, Pilates expert and coach I have developed a special day to nourish the body and mind.
Take this time out of your busy life with a like minded small group. Body conditioning exercises will fire up the larger muscles, Pilates gets to the deep core, with stretches to remove any tension. The relaxation allows your mind to have the space it needs to reset and refocus. Lunch and coffee is a great time to catch up, chat and enjoy the beautiful surroundings,
I have teamed up with two fantastic venues, both beautiful barns set in the countryside with beautiful views and peaceful surroundings.
Turley Farms barns is set in the Cotswolds in West Oxford, with a fresh water pool to enjoy. www.turleyfarmbarns.com . The Farm at Avebury in Wiltshire, is a family owned working farm with a beautiful flowering courtyard for coffee and Orchard where we enjoy the body conditioning www.thefarmatavebury.co.uk
Pilates
After a short comfort break, I will guide you through the main Pilates and stretching programme, carefully designed to improve flexibility, and strengthen your core . I will tailor and adapt exercises so you get the most from the session and finish with a sense of achievement.
A warm welcome
Expect a warm and friendly welcome from the fitwoman community - in a converted, period barn. The underfloor heating makes for a wonderfully relaxing environment - and in colder months the wood burner makes it extra cosy.
Guided relaxation
Following exercise, your mind and body is now ready to relax, and so supported with a pillow and blanket, I will guide you through a relaxation program using my life coaching skills. You will finish feeling refreshed and focused.
Body conditioning
Trainers stay on for the first 30 minutes of body conditioning, get your heart rate up with some group exercises including gentle jogging, static body weight moves, and resistant band work, which will make you feel energised, warmed up and ready for the activities ahead. All exercises are adapted and moderated to meet individual fitness abilities and goals.
Lunch or Coffee
Now its time to recharge and chat to others who are attending the day - over a buffet style lunch from M&S, with fruit, biscuits, homemade cakes, and coffee or herbal tea. There is also time to enjoy the barn and walk the beautiful grounds.
