About Olivia

Olivia Johnson

Life changes.

And our sense of purpose and direction may change too, but our responsibility to ourselves to keep as active and as heathy as possible remains the same.

I have always enjoyed being active. When I worked in London I was to be found running around the parks but it was when I had my daughter aged 38 that I had the renewed purpose to train as a Personal Trainer, to help other women to improve their mental health and physical well being.

Life took me to Dubai where I founded Fitwoman. This became a community for International women from all over the world. Enjoying the bootcamps, buggy fitness, Personal Training and then post exercise breakfasts and coffee on the marina!

I returned to the UK in 2018 and added the GP referral qualification and Pilates to my skill set.

I wanted to find a way to exercise for the rest of my life that would keep me strong and flexible and support people of all ages and confidence levels and abilities and PILATES was the answer.

The GP Referral qualification gave me a greater understanding and ability to support clients who may need more special care. This also enabled me to work on a Government funded scheme called Achieve Oxfordshire for 2 years where I encouraged and supported people who for health reasons had been referred by their DR to come along. It was a very rewarding time.

My Pilates classes were popular and I was soon busy with full classes until.. LOCKDOWN happened! This however forced another change, I took my business to Zoom where I continue to teach today and have clients in Spain, Australia and London who come weekly, and I have never met in person but care deeply about.

Teaching for years on Zoom has realised a skill in me for presenting on video which I really enjoy! and being able to connect with people further afield but also enable people to use a video at a time that suits them, hence my desire to create this website.

My love for Pilates has become my deep passion. I have clients ranging from beginners and rehabilitating to the super fit, using Pilates to keep strong and flexible and compliment their other sports.

Pilates is beneficial to everyone. It spans ages, abilities and improvement can be felt after just one class.

I intend to have an active lifestyle, to keep moving and practicing Pilates for the rest of my life and I invite you to join me and make movement and Pilates part of your life too.
