Weight training.. and new look categories
This month I’ve added weight training to the workouts!
This can include your body weight, resistance bands or using light hand weights. Think tone and lean rather than incredible hulk, we will not bulk up. We know that as we get older we naturally lose muscle mass and tone and want to reverse that process as their are so many benefits to muscle in the body.
Adding resistance training to gain some strength to help able us continue our practical tasks in our day to day life as well as:
improve your overall health and quality of life
build muscle which increases your metabolic rate and burns more calories
improves your mood - watch those endorphins soar
improves balance and coordination
In Pilates I’m happy with a 1kg, but if you want to focus on increasing your arm strength please select a 2kg or 5kg for doing the ARM videos.
Finally I’m delighted to offer you the “new look’ for the categories. These are now arranged by how you are using the videos.
“Just give me 10 minutes Pilates and mobility” if you are short on time, or if you want to focus on strength and tone select the “Pilates and arm toning..”
I’ve also started “Olivia’s suggested sequences of the month” if you feel overwhelmed by choice, focus in on these videos.
